KAPOW! is a card game built by Chuck and Eric Pheterson. We respect your privacy and collect only what we need to make the game work and improve it.

What We Collect

Anonymous play data. When you play, we assign a random ID (like kapow_a1b2c3d4) stored in your browser. This is not linked to your real identity. We use it to track:

• Game stats: scores, rounds played, duration, win/loss
• Page visits: which pages you viewed (landing, game, buy)
• Device type: mobile/desktop, browser, screen size
• Referral: if you arrived from a friend's shared link

Only if you provide it:

• Your name (for the leaderboard)
• Your email (if you sign up for updates or buy the deck)
• Feedback or reviews you submit

What We Don't Collect

• We don't use cookies (localStorage only)
• We don't track you across other websites
• We don't sell or share your data with third parties
• We don't collect passwords or payment info (Stripe handles payments)

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) on the landing page, game page, and buy page to understand how people find and use KAPOW!. Google Analytics collects standard web analytics data (page views, referrer, device info). You can opt out of Google Analytics using a browser extension.

We use Supabase (our database) to store game stats and the anonymous data listed above. This data is stored securely and only accessible to the KAPOW! team.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe provides us with your name, email, shipping address, and payment status so we can fulfill your order. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Opt Out

You can opt out of all KAPOW! data collection at any time. This stops game stats, page visit logging, and referral tracking. Your existing data stays in our system unless you request deletion.

Data Deletion

To request deletion of your data, email feedback@playkapow.com with your player ID (shown below if available). We'll remove your records within 30 days.
